www.ef.com Indonesia’s English skills is ranked 51 st of 88 th  countries. Based on this data we found out that the rank of Indonesians capability in speaking English is below from the others. This problem impacts to our producivity because it gives us a barrier to communicate and makes less
productive. We should be realised that the ability of English Language is very important especially for Indonesians. Therefore, we think that we should learn English since early stage. Teaching English to young learners are not the same as teaching adult learners. In studying a new language,
children do not really care about the grammar or the pronunciation. They will talk in confident like a native speaker because they do not have any barrier in learing new language (Cameron:2001). It is important because that will be easier for the teacher teaching English to the young learners. One of the technique for Teaching English to young learners is by translating a fairytale story book. Translation is a process of translating a text between to different written language that is from source language (SL) to target language (TL) without change the meaning. There are several
methods of Translation according to Newmark (1988): from Literal to faithful to free translation. In this case as a teacher we should know that we need to choose an interesting story book to the Elementary school students so they are motivated to learn English from it. That book should be translated first by the teacher in word for word method. Then the students have to listen the teacher telling story and write it per paragraph in both of language. So, by this method the students will easier to memories the vocabs and understand the story
