STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS ON THE USE OF WEB-APP ELLLO IN MEDIATING STUDENT’S LISTENING COMPREHENSION
Abstract
The development of technology gives some impact of Teaching and learning process, one of the most popular methods of using technology for teaching and learning process is trough the use web-based learning. ELLLO is a website for listening learning which provides free listening activities. In some cases of the language classroom, listening was considered to be the most difficult language skill for students. The use of ELLLO is also intended to improving their listening skills. Therefore this study was conducted to find ou students’ perceptions toward the implementation ELLLO in listening comprehension activities. The researcher used qualitative methods, the research instruments are observation, questionnaire and interview. The researcher was conducted toward ten students of eight-grade students of an Islamic junior high school in Sukabumi. From the findings, it can be concluded that students have two perceptions after using ELLLO in listening activities. Most students agreed that ELLLO is an interesting media for learning listening, they also said ELLLO increased their motivation in listening activities.
