Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability to write analytical exposition texts of class XI.3 students of SMAN 1 Garawangi based on the text structure and linguistic features used. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data sources in the form of 33 student writing products collected through quizziz-based writing assignments in class. The analysis focused on the fulfillment of text structures (thesis, arguments, and reiteration) and the use of linguistic elements such as simple present tense, connectors modal verbs, and mental verbs. The results showed that most students still had difficulty in compiling complete text structures, especially in the argumentation and reiteration sections.
