PEMBERDAYAAN KADER POSYANDU DALAM UPAYA PENINGKATAN KESEHATAN LANSIA
Abstrak
The elderly are a population at risk of experiencing various health problems due to the decline in the health status of the elderly due to increasing age. The formulation of the problems in this activity is the limited number of cadres, the low knowledge and skills of cadres on the services provided in the elderly posyandu, the limited facilities available at the elderly posyandu, the lack of knowledge about orderly administration in the elderly posyandu, and institutional strengthening of human resources for elderly posyandu cadres. The purpose of this community service activity is to empower posyandu cadres and increase the motivation of the elderly to maintain their health. The method used is to provide education to posyandu cadres related to degenerative diseases experienced by the elderly, training on management of posyandu activities in general, and training in making supplementary feeding for the elderly. In this activity, cadres are trained to carry out recording activities: guest book, work program book, attendance book, examination book, activity book, counseling book, referral book, register book, inventory book, supplementary feeding book, visit book, and financial book. The second training is about preparing supplementary feeding menus for the elderly, so that they can have menu variants every month. The demonstration method is carried out to equip the technical ability of cadres in measuring anthropometric parameter. The demonstration method was carried out to equip cadres with technical skills in measuring anthropometric parameters, alternative measurements of body weight and height in special conditions. In this activity there were 15 cadres who had been equipped with knowledge about degenerative diseases. The cadres' knowledge about the disease is involved. The results of this community service activity contributed to the management of elderly posyandu services very well. Initially, the elderly posyandu activities did not run well, and the cadres were also not very skilled in carrying out elderly posyandu activities. After this activity cadres are more confident, skilled in communicating, and skilled in posyandu administration activities. In addition to improving the ability of these cadres, after the community service activities, the flow of the elderly posyandu formed a five-table system so that the posyandu service process became more orderly and smooth and there was also an elderly supplementary feeding program.
