It is the leading cause of cardiovascular disease and premature death worldwide due to its impact on vital organs and its association with chronic kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, and obesity. Despite the availability of various current management strategies, many patients still fail to achieve adequate blood pressure (BP) control. Cardiovascular mortality related to hypertension continues to rise along with the global increase in chronic kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, and obesity. Therefore, improving BP control must be prioritized urgently. Most individuals are unaware that they suffer from hypertension even when they experience its symptoms. The lack of public awareness in monitoring blood pressure and the limited knowledge about hypertension and its management often result in recurrent increases in blood pressure and, in many cases, severe complications. In Ranging Hamlet, most elderly residents suffer from hypertension, and some even experience multiple complications. Blood pressure screening and hypertension education can help in monitoring and controlling blood pressure, providing understanding on how to prevent or manage hypertension, and raising awareness about adopting a healthy lifestyle to avoid hypertension. This activity began with the preparation and implementation stages. After the community service (PKM) for the elderly conducted on October 18, 2024, the results showed that the elderly participants became aware of their blood pressure levels and gained improved knowledge and understanding of hypertension and its management.
2026-02-24T14:46:13+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Fransiska Kurniati Natul, Safry Mahu, Yosef Andrian Beo, Yohanes Jakri https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3273 COMMUNITY-BASED CATARACT EDUCATION: THE ROLE OF THE ‘SEKAR’ PKK GROUP OF GARUNG VILLAGE, WONOSOBO IN MAINTAINING EYE HEALTH 2026-03-01T21:44:31+07:00 Muhamad Sahli msahli@unsiq.ac.id Anisa Ell Raharyani raharyani@gmail.com
Background: Cataract is one of the leading causes of visual impairment and blindness, particularly among the elderly population, with a higher incidence observed in women. Limited public knowledge regarding cataract risk factors, symptoms, and management often results in delays in eye examinations and treatment. Objective: This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and understanding of members of the PKK “Sekar” group in Garung Village regarding cataracts, including their definition, risk factors, symptoms, prevention, and management. Methods: The activity employed a health education approach through interactive lectures, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions, supported by educational media such as PowerPoint presentations, leaflets, and posters. Knowledge evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The activity was conducted on November 18, 2025, involving 20 participants. Results: The evaluation results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge, as indicated by an increase in the mean knowledge score from 81 in the pre-test to 98 in the post-test. Conclusion: Health education delivered through a PKK group-based approach was proven to be effective in enhancing community knowledge, particularly among elderly women, regarding cataracts. This activity serves as a promotive and preventive effort to reduce the risk of visual impairment and blindness caused by cataracts.
2026-02-24T14:51:16+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Muhamad Sahli, Anisa Ell Raharyani https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3274 IMPLEMENTATION OF COMMUNITY-BASED EYE HEALTH POLICY THROUGH GLAUCOMA EDUCATION AMONG THE SEMA’AN AL-QUR’AN GROUP 2026-03-01T21:44:09+07:00 Muhamad Sahli msahli@unsiq.ac.id Ali Mu’tafi alimutafi@unsiq.ac.id
Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness worldwide and remains a major public health problem, particularly among the elderly population. Its slow and often asymptomatic progression in the early stages results in late diagnosis, emphasizing the importance of preventive and early detection strategies. This community service activity aimed to improve knowledge and understanding of glaucoma among members of the Sema’an Al-Qur’an group in Sindupaten Village, Kertek District, Wonosobo, through a community-based health promotion approach. The intervention consisted of interactive health education sessions, discussions, question-and-answer activities, and the use of educational media, including PowerPoint presentations, leaflets, and posters. Knowledge levels were assessed using pre-test and post-test questionnaires administered to 10 participants, most of whom were elderly. The results demonstrated a significant increase in the mean knowledge score from 78 in the pre-test to 98 in the post-test, with the minimum score improving from 40 to 80. Furthermore, 90% of participants achieved a very good level of knowledge after the intervention. These findings indicate that community-based health education is effective in enhancing glaucoma-related health literacy. This program supports the implementation of eye health policies by strengthening promotive and preventive efforts at the primary healthcare level, thereby contributing to early detection and reducing the risk of permanent blindness due to glaucoma.
2026-02-24T15:16:46+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Muhamad Sahli, Ali Mu’tafi https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3157 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE HUMANISTIC-DEMOCRATIC MODEL IN IMPROVING STUDENTS' LEARNING MOTIVATION AND DISCIPLINE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS 2026-03-02T08:19:50+07:00 Sasi Tari Wardana sasitariwardana@upi.edu Sabrina Kenia Imaniar sabrina06@upi.edu Sazkiah Aulia Al Amin sazkiaulia2507@upi.edu Sefia Jihan Dwisaputri sefiajihan29@upi.edu Sofyan Iskandar sofyaniskandar@upi.edu
This study aims to examine the application of the humanistic-democratic model in an effort to improve student motivation and learning discipline in elementary schools. Education as the main foundation in the formation of quality human resources requires a comprehensive learning approach, not only oriented to the cognitive aspect, but also paying attention to the affective and social aspects. The humanistic model emphasizes respect for the uniqueness and potential of each individual, while the democratic model emphasizes the principles of equality, justice, and active student participation in the learning process. The method used in this study is a literature study with a content analysis of relevant literature related to the theory and practice of the humanistic and democratic models. The results of the study revealed that the application of the model is able to create an inclusive, warm, and conducive learning environment, which significantly increases student motivation and learning discipline. This approach is also effective in building students' character to be independent, responsible, and have social empathy from an early age. The implications of this study provide practical guidance for educators in developing holistic and humanity-oriented classroom management strategies in elementary schools.
2026-03-02T08:19:50+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Sasi Tari Wardana, Sabrina Kenia Imaniar, Sazkiah Aulia Al Amin, Sefia Jihan Dwisaputri, Sofyan Iskandar https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3142 EMPOWERMENT OF KARANG TARUNA PATTAPPA VILLAGE THROUGH EXACT TRAINING AND TECHNOLOGY FOR PROCESSING SOLID SANDSTONE 2026-03-02T08:20:07+07:00 Nur Asmiani nurasmiani@gmail.com Alfian Nawir nawir@gmail.com Gerard Antonini Duma duma@gmail.com La Ifa ifa@gmail.com Taufik Nur nur@gmail.com
This community service activity (PkM) is carried out in Pattappa Village, Pujananting District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi, with a focus on increasing the capacity of Karang Taruna in managing the potential of local natural resources in the form of solid sandstone. This study aims to analyze the contractual mechanisms used in Sharia venture capital and their relevance for financing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The research was conducted using a qualitative approach through a literature review that examines the concept of Sharia venture capital, contract structures, and the characteristics of MSME financing needs. The analysis shows that the most commonly used contracts in Sharia venture capital are musyarakah, mudharabah, and wakalah bil ujrah. Each contract has distinct characteristics that address the needs of partnership-based financing, risk-sharing, and business mentoring. The study finds that this financing model is highly relevant for MSMEs, particularly because it does not require collateral, emphasizes profit-sharing, and provides managerial support. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, such as low Islamic financial literacy and the limited number of Sharia venture capital institutions in Indonesia. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for developing a more inclusive and Sharia-compliant MSME financing model.
2026-03-02T08:31:20+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Joni Hendra, Ade Vieea Syantana, Khairunnisa Khairunnisa, Fenny Liani, Femas Almuttaqin, Muhammad Algifari, Budi Utomo https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3159 ACQUISITION: IMPROVING BANK HEALTH AND CAPITAL STRENGTH IN RUNNING THE COMPANY 2026-03-02T08:31:35+07:00 Joni Hendra joniqizel77@gmail.com Maria Ulfah ulfah@gmail.com Elma Elma elma@gmail.com Mira Santika Miranda miranda@gmail.com Azriansyah Azriansyah azriansyah@gmail.com Juliasti Wulandari wulandari@gmail.com M. Aizad aizad@gmail.com
The lawsuit regarding the minimum educational requirements for presidential and vice-presidential candidates before the Constitutional Court (MK) has become a crucial issue in constitutionalism and democracy in Indonesia. This issue arose when some parties considered that the provisions regarding minimum educational levels in the general election law had the potential to limit citizens' political rights, contradict the principle of equality before the law, and violate the constitutional right to be elected. This study aims to conduct a legal analysis of the Constitutional Court's ruling on this lawsuit, using a normative and legislative approach, including a review of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections, the 1945 Constitution, and previous Constitutional Court decisions. The analysis shows that the Constitutional Court considers the principles of political accessibility, justice, and harmonization between state interests and individual rights in determining the reasonableness of educational requirements. The Constitutional Court tends to emphasize that excessive requirements can hinder political participation and are potentially discriminatory, necessitating a balanced constitutional interpretation. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the understanding of constitutional law, the formulation of general election policies, and the strengthening of democracy in Indonesia. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of aligning the formal requirements for candidates for head of state with the principles of citizens' constitutional rights.
2026-03-02T08:34:38+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Reyhan Pradipa De'frantika, M. This study aims to map the role of technological transformation, financial literacy, and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in strengthening financial performance in MSMEs and the financial sector through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Using the PRISMA protocol, 29 articles from the Google Scholar, Crossref, and ScienceDirect databases for the period 2020–2025 were systematically analyzed. The results of the study show a relatively consistent pattern of findings that financial literacy and technological transformation have a positive effect on business performance and sustainability. However, the implementation of GCG still faces challenges at the MSME level due to limited resources, while in the financial sector, GCG has been proven to strengthen accountability despite variations in its impact on profitability ratios. Learning success is largely determined by the teacher's skill in optimally and effectively organizing and controlling the classroom, aiming to create a conducive learning atmosphere that fosters enthusiasm and fosters students' creative potential. The effectiveness of classroom management is influenced by several factors, both internal and external. Internal factors include psychological aspects such as self-awareness, interest, motivation, and a positive mindset. Students with high motivation and self-awareness tend to be more active and responsible. Learning success is largely determined by the teacher's skill in optimally organizing and controlling the classroom. Research shows that the most dominant external factors are a lack of parental supervision and support, as well as a community environment that does not support discipline. Therefore, the main conclusion is that teachers must take a strategic role in balancing these internal and external influences. This can be achieved through the implementation of planned, collaborative, and contextual classroom management strategies, an inclusive, participatory learning environment, and one that supports the development of student creativity.
2026-03-02T08:37:17+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Siti Nur Azizah, Syalipah Almunajjah, Tazkia Jauhara Galya, Tazkya Diniyati, Sofyan Iskandar https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3176 ANALYSIS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FAMILY QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN REALIZING GENDER EQUALITY IN BANDUNG CITY 2026-03-02T08:37:30+07:00 Nazharra Nurazka Mutaqin nazharramutaqin@gmail.com Bahagia Nadia Rachmawati bahagia24001@mail.unpad.ac.id Raras Ajeng Anyelir Ara’af raanyelir@gmail.com Iyep Saefulrahman sef73rahman@gmail.com
Gender equality is a development priority in various countries and is one of the main objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 5. In the Indonesian context, one of the key strategies to achieve it is through improving the quality of the family as a basic institution in the formation of social norms. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the family quality improvement program run by the Bandung City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (DP3A) and evaluate the extent to which the program reflects the principles of Gender Responsive Governance (GRG) and contributes to the achievement of SDG 5. Using a qualitative policy research approach, data were obtained through interviews with DP3A officials as well as studies of regulatory documents and statistical data. The research findings indicate that the DP3A plays a primary role as a coordinator within a cross-sectoral ecosystem encompassing other government agencies, community organizations, and pentahelix partners. Several programs, such as PUSPAGA (Fathers' School), Sekolah Ayah (Fathers' School), Sekolah Remaja (Youth School), and the Keluarga 2P (Family 2P) movement, have successfully improved parenting literacy and gender awareness. However, challenges persist, including budget constraints, minimal male representation in family programs, and low achievement of objectives such as the Gender Development Index (GDI). This article concludes that policy implementation has reflected GRG principles, but its impact on changing gender norms still requires ongoing intervention. The Bandung City Government, through the DP3A (Regional Development Planning Agency), implements the Prevention of Violence Against Women Program to strengthen efforts to protect and fulfill women's rights. This study aims to analyze the implementation of this program by assessing the level of gender responsiveness in the policy process and its implementation. The research approach uses a qualitative descriptive-evaluative method through interviews and a review of official documents such as the Strategic Plan (RENSTRA), program reports, and data on gender-based violence. The analytical framework uses David Easton's policy system model and the Gender Mainstreaming (PUG) perspective. Initial results indicate that the policy has a strong regulatory basis and is aligned with the mandate of SDGs 5. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as limited gender-responsive budgets, cross-sectoral coordination, and the use of gender-disaggregated data. These findings indicate a gap between policy formulation and implementation, necessitating the strengthening of more gender-responsive service design.
2026-03-02T08:37:43+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Naufal Suryaatmaja, Dinda Ayu Indraswuri, Huri Putri Dolianshi, Iyep Saefulrahman https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3192 ENCOURAGING CIRCULAR ECONOMY PRACTICES IN SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES: THE EXAMPLE OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE UTILIZATION 2026-03-02T08:38:10+07:00 Riska Tharika riska.tharika@unsri.ac.id Meita Rahmawati meita_rahmawati@unsri.ac.id Fitri Nanda Sari fitrinandasari@unsri.ac.id Christian Damar Sagara Sitepu damarsagara@unsri.ac.id
This community service program was set up to help people in the community who don't know much about the economic potential of controlling domestic garbage. This program addressed these challenges by implementing a concentrate-combined silage technology within the Farmers Group (Poktan) and Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Kahuripan Urban Village. The primary objective was to transform abundant local corn stover into high-quality, stable animal feed. A quasi-experimental (pretest-posttest) design was employed to evaluate the intervention's effectiveness. Results indicated a statistically improvement in the participants' knowledge regarding nutrition and silage technology (2.84 and 2.7 for KWT and Poktan, respectively). The resulting silage, enriched with concentrate, demonstrated optimal fermentation success, confirmed by achieving an pH range is 3.8 and favorable physical characteristics. Crucially, the introduction of this enriched silage into the feeding regimen of goats at Poktan led to a higher Average Daily Gain (ADG) compared to the traditional forage-only diet, thereby enhancing livestock productivity and resolving the problem of nutrient deficiency. This technology offers a sustainable, dual-benefit strategy by simultaneously converting agricultural by-products into a reliable feed source, ensuring year-round feed security, and improving the economic viability of small-scale goat farming.
2026-03-02T08:38:26+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Dwi Wijayanti, Anita Dwy Fitria, Missi Hikmatyar, Kusuma Agdhi Rahwana, Rini Nuranisa, Ashila Rahmani Kamila, Fazril Septian, Yuda Yudis Triyawan https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3197 DYNAMICS OF OVERSIGHT OF PUBLIC POLICY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF STATE ADMINISTRATIVE LAW IN THE DIGITAL ERA 2026-03-02T08:42:30+07:00 Ardana Maharani Manurung ardhanamaharany@gmail.com Stefani Losanti Simanjuntak simanjuntak@gmail.com Selvia Br Karo-Karo karo-karo@gmail.com
The digital revolution has transformed the delivery of public services in Indonesia through digitalization processes and electronic-based government systems (SPBE). This change makes it easier for the public to access services, reduces corruption practices, and enhances government transparency and accountability. Nevertheless, there are several legal challenges in managing digital services, such as questions about the validity of digital administrative decisions, liability for system errors, differences in digital access, and personal data protection. This study uses a normative legal approach by analyzing legislation and related literature. The research findings indicate that administrative law plays an important role in overseeing and improving the performance of effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable governance, while also serving as the legal foundation for inclusive and equitable digital transformation. Waste has emerged as a multidimensional environmental issue influenced by population growth, consumption patterns, and limited waste processing capacity. Although Law No. 18 of 2008 provides a normative foundation for integrated waste management, its implementation remains inconsistent and often disconnected from social realities. This research analyzes gaps between regulation and practice, particularly regarding public participation, institutional coordination, and infrastructure readiness. Using a normative–qualitative legal method with statutory, conceptual, and socio-legal approaches, the study evaluates how responsive law principles can strengthen waste governance. The findings show that Indonesia’s waste regulations have not fully embodied responsiveness, as communities are still treated primarily as objects rather than active partners, and local initiatives are not optimally integrated into policy. This study proposes a model of ecological responsiveness, emphasizing adaptive regulation, community empowerment, and collaborative governance. These recommendations contribute to developing a more effective and sustainable legal framework capable of addressing environmental challenges.
2026-03-02T08:44:16+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Apriliani Rahmalillah, Syamsuddin Syamsuddin https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3209 THE EFFECT OF CONGKLAK GAMES ON THE COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF EARLY CHILDHOOD 2026-03-02T21:49:16+07:00 Adzro Fadila Najah adzronajah21@upi.edu Alyaa Addien Nuha alyaanuha91@upi.edu Audry Eka Putri Febrianty audryekapf525@upi.edu Ira Ferina iraferina17@upi.edu Tiara Naswa Sari tiaranaswasari25@upi.edu Asep Kurnia Jayadinata asep_jayadinata@upi.edu Euis Kurniati euiskurniati@upi.edu Hafiziani Eka Putri hafizianiekaputri@upi.edu
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of congklak as a learning medium for the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years. Fluctuations in interest and motivation are often the main obstacles to achieving optimal learning outcomes at the elementary level. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, involving the critical identification, evaluation, and synthesis of relevant primary studies. The synthesis of empirical findings indicates that students' interest and motivation are significantly influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include students' physical and mental condition, intelligence, and attitude towards the lesson, while the most dominant external factors relate to the teacher's role, encompassing teacher creativity in varied methods and media usage, and creating a conducive classroom environment. Furthermore, environmental support, particularly the role of parents and the availability of facilities, is also a crucial determinant. Intrinsic motivation factors, such as drive, needs in learning, and future aspirations, were found to be quite dominant. These findings confirm that effective learning strategies must be student-centered and supported by improving teacher competency in classroom management and instructional innovation, as well as active collaboration with parents.
2026-03-02T08:45:49+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Rica Elisabeth Situmorang, Rifdah Hanifah, Rika Aprilia, Risma Hasna Budiarti, Riska Risma Yanti, Sofyan Iskandar https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3218 THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL LITERACY ON POLITICAL TRUST 2026-03-02T21:48:28+07:00 Regina Maritza regina24004@mail.unpad.ac.id Kunto Adi Wibowo kunto.a.wibowo@unpad.ac.id Detta Rahmawan detta@unpad.ac.id Ikhsan Fuady ikhsan.fuady@unpad.ac.id
The phenomenon of political hoaxes poses a serious challenge to political communication in the digital era, particularly with the widespread use of social media. The results showed that both figure eight wraps around training and figure eight dribble training had a significant effect on improving athletes’ dribbling skills. However, there was no significant difference in the effect between the two types of training, indicating that both training methods are equally effective in enhancing the dribbling skills of DM Basket Club basketball players.
2026-03-02T08:48:01+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Fadlan Harahap, Amir Supriadi, Indra Darma Sitepu https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3231 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 7 GREAT HABITS OF INDONESIAN CHILDREN (KAIH) PROGRAM IN SHAPING THE CHARACTER OF SIXTH-GRADE STUDENTS AT UPT SD NEGERI 141 INPRES PARAPPUNGANTA II, POLONGBANGKENG TIMUR DISTRICT, TAKALAR REGENCY 2026-03-02T21:46:29+07:00 Mery Yunistira Basnyam merybasnyam68@guru.sd.belajar.id
This study explores the implementation of the 7 Great Habits of Indonesian Children (KAIH) Program in shaping the character of sixth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 141 Inpres Parappunganta II, Takalar Regency. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research was conducted over two months and involved sixth-grade students, teachers, and the school principal. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification, with trustworthiness ensured through triangulation, member checking, and peer debriefing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the KAIH Program significantly improved students’ character, as shown by an increase in average behavioral scores from the “Sufficient” category to the “Very Good” category within one month. The program effectively fostered discipline, spirituality, independence, social responsibility, and healthy lifestyle habits. However, habits related to waking up early and sleeping early required continuous reinforcement due to external environmental influences. Key supporting factors included strong school leadership, teacher commitment, parental involvement, and student enthusiasm. The study concludes that the KAIH Program is an effective strategy for character education, provided that sustained collaboration among schools, families, and communities is maintained.
2026-03-02T08:48:15+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mery Yunistira Basnyam https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3246 STRENGTHENING NATIONAL IDENTITY THROUGH EDUCATION ON THE RUPIAH CURRENCY AND SIMULATED “MINI STORE” PURCHASE AND SALE TRANSACTIONS: A STUDY OF PPWNI STUDENTS IN KLANG, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA 2026-03-03T21:49:27+07:00 Cipta Kusumaningrum cipta.kusumaningrum26@gmail.com Sri Luayyi luayyi@gmail.com Anita Sumelvia Dewi dewi@gmail.com
Strengthening national identity is an important aspect for students of Indonesian Schools Abroad, especially in the context of understanding state symbols such as the Rupiah currency. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge, understanding, and attitude of nationalism among PPWNI Klang students in Selangor, Malaysia through Rupiah currency education and mini-store-based buying and selling transaction simulations. The methods used include interactive education on the characteristics, functions, and value of the Rupiah currency, as well as hands-on practice through simulated buying and selling transactions designed to resemble simple economic activities. This activity involves students as active subjects so that learning is contextual and enjoyable. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of the Rupiah currency, the function of money in everyday life, and the growth of pride and attachment to Indonesia's national identity. The Mini Store simulation proved to be an effective medium for applied learning in instilling national values and basic financial literacy. Thus, this program can be an alternative model for strengthening national identity for Indonesian students abroad through an educational and practical approach.
2026-03-02T08:48:28+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Cipta Kusumaningrum, Sri Luayyi, Anita Sumelvia Dewi https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3240 ENGINEERING INNOVATION FOR RURAL WASTE MANAGEMENT: DEVELOPMENT OF AN ORGANIC WASTE CHOPPER MACHINE IN JEMBER REGENCY 2026-03-03T21:48:24+07:00 Mahros Darsin mahros.teknik@unej.ac.id Hari Arbiantara Basuki 196709241994121001@mail.unej.ac.id Danang Yudistito danang.ft@unej.ac.id Robertoes Koekoeh Koentjoro Wibowo koekoeh@unej.ac.id Fikril Hilmi hilmi@gmail.com Dwi Djumhariyanto dwidjum1960@gmail.com Muhammad Maulana Andi Surya surya@gmail.com Hafidz Ahmad Abdillah abdillah@gmail.com Muhamad Zaky Rizqullah Nurrosidi nurrosidi@gmail.com Deni Yudas Priawan priawan@gmail.com
Waste management remains a critical challenge in rural and semi-urban communities in Indonesia, where limited infrastructure and low public awareness often lead to environmental degradation. Jelbuk Village in Jember Regency produces approximately 1,200 kg of household waste per day, most of which is disposed of in rivers or vacant land. This condition has resulted in pollution, health risks, and flooding, while the economic potential of waste recycling remains untapped. To address these issues, the Universitas Jember community service team implemented an integrated waste management program that combines technical innovation with community empowerment. The technical approach involved designing and fabricating a portable organic waste chopper machine with a capacity of 120 kg/hour, enabling the production of compost from organic waste. In parallel, inorganic waste such as plastics and metals was separated for recycling. The non-technical approach included training, awareness campaigns, and mentoring in simple bookkeeping to strengthen community capacity for sustainable waste management. The program successfully reduced waste accumulation, improved sanitation, and created new economic opportunities through compost production and the sale of recyclable materials. Furthermore, the involvement of students in design and implementation enhanced academic outcomes and knowledge transfer. This initiative demonstrates that integrated technical and social approaches can effectively transform waste problems into community-based solutions with long-term sustainability.
2026-03-02T08:48:42+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mahros Darsin, Hari Arbiantara Basuki, Danang YUdistito, Robertoes Koekoeh Koentjoro Wibowor, Fikril Hilmi, Dwi Djumhariyanto, Muhammad Maulana Andi Surya, Hafidz Ahmad Abdillah, Muhamad Zaky Rizqullah Nurrosidi https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3258 ASSESSMENT OF KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE, AND PRACTICE (KAP) RELATED TO ORAL HEALTH IN RESIDENTS OF THE PUSKESMAS PEGIRIAN AREA 2026-04-11T21:55:36+07:00 Yessy Andriani Fauziah yessy.andriani@ciputra.ac.id Eveline Yulia Darmadi darmadi@gmail.com Imelda Ritunga ritunga@gmail.com Della Aulia aulia@gmail.com Dany Agus Susanto susanto@gmail.com
Oral and dental health remain important public health issues because they directly affect overall well-being and quality of life. Community-based Puskesmas play a crucial role in promoting preventive oral health habits within the community. This study explored levels of knowledge, attitudes, and daily practices regarding oral health among community members at Pegirian Puskesmas. A descriptive study was conducted with 50 participants who took part in an oral health education activity. The analysis revealed that most participants possessed good knowledge and held very positive attitudes toward oral health; however, these attitudes were not always reflected in their everyday practices. The primary challenge identified was the disparity between what people know and how they apply it in their daily lives. For this reason, health education was delivered with an emphasis on strengthening behaviour and providing practical guidance. The results indicated that attitudes were the strongest aspect, followed by knowledge, while oral health practices remained the weakest. In conclusion, oral health promotion efforts should not only aim to increase knowledge and improve attitudes but also place greater focus on behaviour-based approaches to achieve lasting oral health outcomes.
2026-03-02T08:49:31+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Yessy Andriani Fauziah, Eveline Yulia Darmadi, Imelda Ritunga https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3269 SOCIAL FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUCCESS OF THE ELDERLY POSYANDU PROGRAM IN THE WORKING AREA OF THE SADABUAN HEALTH CENTER, PADANG SIDIMPUAN CITY 2026-03-02T08:50:04+07:00 Hannisa Primastuti hannisanasution@gmail.com Haslinah Ahmad ahmad@gmail.com Adi Antoni antoni@gmail.com
Posyandu Elderly program in the working area of the Sadabuan Health Center, Padangsidimpuan City. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS through descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the study showed that the level of education of the elderly did not have a significant effect on the level of participation in Posyandu Elderly activities. On the other hand, family support, social interaction of the elderly, and activities of health cadres have an influence on the success of program implementation. Elderly people who receive family support and have good social interaction tend to be more active in participating in activities. The active role of cadres also increases the effectiveness of services. It was concluded that social factors have an important role in supporting the success of the Elderly Posyandu, so it is necessary to strengthen family support and empower health cadres in a sustainable manner.
2026-03-02T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Hannisa Primastuti, Haslinah Ahmad, Adi Antoni https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3254 UTILIZATION OF LOCAL FOOD INGREDIENTS AND SPICES TO MEET NUTRITIONAL REQUIREMENTS, STRENGTHEN IMMUNITY, AND ADDRESS MINOR AILMENTS IN HOUSEHOLDS 2026-04-11T21:55:12+07:00 Afifah Kusuma Vardhani afifah.kusuma@esaunggul.ac.id Puteri Fannya fannya@gmail.com Nadiya Nurul Afifah afifah@gmail.com Rizqia Rahmah rahmah@gmail.com Yolan Adis Safitri safitri@gmail.com Aulia Salsabila salsabila@gmail.com Mochamad Fauzan W. fauzan@gmail.com Raihan Fakhri P. Situation analysis shows that personal safety education that is appropriate to the child's age and condition is still limited, so that children do not fully understand the limits of their personal body and how to protect themselves. These problems are the basis for the implementation of community service activities that aim to increase the understanding of personal safety of children with HIV/AIDS through education using puppet props. The activity was carried out at the Surakarta Lentera Foundation involving 15 children aged 6-12 years. The activity method includes pre-test, interactive education about personal body parts, safe and unsafe touch, and direct practice using puppet props, then ending with a post-test. The results of the activity showed an increase in the average score of children's understanding from 66.1% before the activity to 95.2% after the activity. In addition, children show the courage to tell stories and ask for help when they are in uncomfortable situations. This activity is complemented by the implementation of training of trainers for caregivers and the submission of educational manuals as an effort to sustain the program. It can be concluded that personal safety education based on doll props is effective, easy to accept, and feasible to apply to community service activities for other vulnerable children.
2026-03-02T15:10:11+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Muti'ah Diniyati, Ayu Khoirotul Umaroh, Endang Setyaningsih https://pkm.uika-bogor.ac.id/index.php/ABDIDOS/article/view/3291 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE QUR'AN MEMORIZATION PROGRAM AS A FEATURED PROGRAM IN ACTIVITIES AT MIS ROHMATUL UMMAH 2026-04-11T21:54:23+07:00 Laila Nasmi nasmi@gmail.com Melpa Hariyanti hariyanti@gmail.com Putri Rahma Yani yani@gmail.com Putri Yolanda Siregar siregar@gmail.com Namiroh Lubis lubis@gmail.com
This study aims to describe the implementation of the Quran memorization program, a flagship program at MIS Rohmatul Ummah.
