The Use of Nature-Themed Stamp Game Media to Improve Early Childhood Science and Mathematics Skills at Al Ikhsan Kindergarten in Bangun Purba Village

This research is motivated by the importance of cognitive stimulation in early childhood through innovative and contextual learning media. At Al Ikhsan Kindergarten in Bangun Purba Village, children's science and mathematics skills still require improvement due to the limited use of creative media that utilize the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of nature-themed stamp games in improving children's science and mathematics skills. The research method used was quantitative with a pre-experimental design (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design). The study subjects included all students at Al Ikhsan Kindergarten. Data collection techniques were carried out through structured observation, documentation, and performance tests. Data analysis used a t-test to compare pre- and post-treatment results. The results showed that the use of nature-themed stamp games significantly improved children's abilities in science (recognizing natural phenomena), correspondence, classification, geometry, and numeracy. In conclusion, nature-themed stamp games are an effective educational tool for optimizing the cognitive potential of early childhood through a fun, play-while-learning approach.

Strengthening the Independence of Correctional Inmates through Contemporary Bread and Business Management Training as Provision for Socio-Economic Reintegration at the Class IIB Cianjur Prison

Self-reliance development is a crucial program within the correctional system, aiming to equip inmates with productive skills to support their socio-economic reintegration upon their return to society. This community service program aims to improve inmates' vocational and entrepreneurial competencies through training in contemporary bread production and business management at the Class IIB Cianjur Penitentiary. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method was used, actively involving participants in the planning, implementation, reflection, and evaluation of the program. Twenty inmates with an interest in bakery and entrepreneurship participated in the program. The training materials covered contemporary bread-making techniques, food sanitation and safety, product packaging, production cost calculations, pricing, and simple marketing and business management strategies. Evaluation was conducted through pre- and post-tests to measure participants' knowledge, supported by observation, documentation, and reflective discussions. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the bread production process and business management, as evidenced by an increase in post-test scores compared to the pre-test. Furthermore, participants were able to practice making bread independently and understand the basics of business planning. This program contributes to strengthening the independence of inmates by improving technical and entrepreneurial skills as a provision for sustainable socio-economic reintegration after release.

Implementation of Interactive Card Directoral Board Media to Improve Grade IV Students' Understanding of the Card Directoral Concept at State Elementary School 138 Sabajior

Learning science on maps, plans, and cardinal directions requires a good understanding so that students are able to determine the location of a place based on the correct direction. However, based on the results of interviews conducted with fourth-grade teachers of SD Negeri 138 Sabajior, it was found that some students still have difficulty distinguishing north, south, east, and west. In addition, students also often make mistakes in determining the position of a place based on the given map. These problems indicate that students need more interesting and concrete learning media to help understand the concept of cardinal directions. This activity aims to help improve students' understanding of cardinal directions through the application of the Interactive Cardinal Direction Board media. The activity was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of the activity were 20 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 138 Sabajior, with a total of 11 students in attendance. The application of the media was carried out through material delivery activities, media introduction, media use practice, group discussions, worksheet worksheets, and making simple maps. The results of the activity showed that the use of the Interactive Cardinal Direction Board media had a positive impact on the learning process. Students appeared more active, enthusiastic, and understood the concept of cardinal directions more easily than before. Furthermore, they demonstrated improved abilities in locating locations based on cardinal directions and reading simple maps. Therefore, the Interactive Cardinal Direction Board can be used as an effective alternative learning tool to help improve elementary school students' understanding of cardinal directions.

Improving Students' Speaking Skills in Expressing Agreement and Disagreement Through Powerpoint Presentations

The ability to speak and express agreement and disagreement is an important aspect of English communication skills, as accuracy in delivering and responding to opinions directly affects the effectiveness of daily and academic interactions. This activity aims to introduce and train the sixth-semester students of the Management Study Program at STIE Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar in expressing agreement and disagreement appropriately, in both formal and informal contexts. The phenomenon underlying this activity is the students' tendency to only use simple expressions such as "I agree" or "I do not agree" without knowing other richer variations, as well as their difficulty in expressing disagreement politely to avoid conflict in communication. This activity uses a qualitative descriptive method with a presentation and interactive discussion approach. The data source consists of documentation from the presentation activity conducted in the Morning Management B class, Semester VI, at STIE Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar. The instrument used is a PowerPoint-based presentation material prepared by the author, which includes the definition of agreement and disagreement, strong and neutral expressions of agreement, firm and polite expressions of disagreement, and practice questions. Data collection was carried out through direct observation during the presentation, while data analysis was conducted descriptively based on observation notes and audience responses. The results of the activity show that classmates were able to understand and practice various expressions of agreement and disagreement well, as demonstrated by their active participation in discussions and accuracy in answering practice questions. In conclusion, this PowerPoint-based presentation is effective in increasing students' understanding and confidence in conveying and responding to opinions effectively, clearly, and politely in English.

Breast health promotion in primary care requires cadres who are able to convey warning signs, support breast awareness, and connect women with health workers. This community service activity involved 23 female cadres in Rambah Tengah Utara, Rokan Hulu, in July 2026. The series of activities included participant registration, distribution of breast-health leaflets, interactive education, visual demonstration, guided breast self-examination (BSE) practice, use of supporting digital media, mentoring, discussion, and a final evaluation. Evaluation was carried out through questions and answers, facilitator observation of practice, and participant feedback. The activity report recorded improved understanding, self-efficacy, practical skills, and independence in performing breast self-examination, along with active cadre participation and strengthened coordination with primary-care workers. Outputs of the activity included reusable educational media, strengthened cadre roles, and a follow-up plan through periodic education, reminders, monitoring, and referral. The source document did not contain verifiable quantitative pre-post scores, so the results are presented descriptively.

This study examines the principal’s humanistic leadership in enhancing teachers’ teaching motivation at SMP Muhammadiyah Pucang Gading. It is grounded in the complexity of educational systems, where low teacher motivation is often linked to bureaucratic leadership styles, excessive workload, limited appreciation, and insufficient emotional support. Although prior studies confirm the importance of effective leadership, research focusing on humanistic leadership—emphasizing empathy, fairness, individual development, and positive relationships—remains limited, particularly in Islamic-based secondary schools in Indonesia. This research aims to analyze how humanistic leadership contributes to improving teaching motivation and to identify its key dimensions, including empathy, participatory communication, and professional support. A qualitative field study approach was employed, involving purposively selected participants such as the principal, vice principals, teachers, and staff. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using interactive techniques with triangulation and member checking to ensure validity. The findings reveal that humanistic leadership has been positively implemented through empathetic practices, open two-way communication, professional development support, and a harmonious organizational culture, significantly enhancing teacher motivation. However, challenges remain, including inconsistent communication, administrative burdens, individual resistance, and limited facilities. Overall, this approach effectively fosters a supportive work environment and teachers’ psychological well-being.

The Role of Multidimensional Teachers in Preparing Students' Academic Competency Tests at Muhammadiyah Pucang Gading Junior High School

This study aimed to describe the multidimensional roles of teachers in preparing students for the Academic Competency Test (ACT) at SMP Muhammadiyah Pucang Gading. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Informants included mathematics and Indonesian language teachers serving as ACT mentors, the principal, vice principals for curriculum and student affairs, and ninth-grade homeroom teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that teachers performed multidimensional roles as learning facilitators, evaluators, motivators, mentors for independent learning, guides for students’ mental, emotional, and spiritual readiness, mediators between schools and parents, and instillers of ethical examination values. Teachers not only strengthened students’ academic readiness through adaptive learning, continuous evaluation, and intensive mentoring, but also developed students’ motivation, self-confidence, psychological resilience, and moral integrity. Furthermore, parental involvement and religious activities contributed significantly to supporting students’ holistic readiness in facing the ACT. These findings emphasize that academic success requires integrated pedagogical, emotional, social, spiritual, and character-based support within Islamic education practices nationwide.

Destination Branding Assistance for Surengede Tourism Village, Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency

The tourism sector is a strategic element that plays a vital role in enhancing the economy and regional assets in Indonesia. This assistance analyzes the situation of Bukit Gong Nature Tourism in Wonosobo Regency, which has great potential due to its location within the Dieng National Geopark. Nevertheless, it struggles with attracting a sufficient number of visitors. The main problem identified is weak competitiveness caused by limited infrastructure and the absence of a strong visual identity compared to nearby competitors. As a solution, destination branding was strengthened through the design of a logo and mascot using the design thinking methodology. This step aims to create a distinctive visual identity and build tourist trust through official representation. Testing results show that the visual design achieved a very high score on the System Usability Scale (SUS), which categorized as excellent. Thus, the visual identity design successfully became a strategic instrument to strengthen brand awareness and build a professional, unique, and trustworthy image for Bukit Gong Nature Tourism.

The development of the tourism industry has increased the demand for temporary accommodations that not only function as places to stay but also provide visual and emotional experiences for visitors. In an increasingly competitive environment, visual identity plays an important role in building brand image and differentiating a property from its competitors. Villa Agave, as an accommodation with a natural and comfortable concept, does not yet have a visual identity that can optimally and consistently represent its character. This study aims to design a logo for Villa Agave as part of building its brand identity using a design thinking approach oriented toward user needs. The method consists of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature review, and comparative studies to gain a deeper understanding of the brand character. The result of this study is a logo that visually represents the concept of natural and comfortable living in a communicative and relevant way, thereby strengthening the brand image of Villa Agave in the hospitality industry.

Key problems include unstructured data management and the absence of analytical tools to support teachers' instructional decisions. This program implements a web-based EduPrima application that provides integrated data management and Learning Analytics features through the stages of socialization, system development, technical training, and intensive mentoring. As a result, administrative digitization improves operational efficiency and provides objective supporting data, so that institutional governance becomes more accountable and transparent without replacing the primary pedagogical role of teachers.

Expressive Writing Therapy in Group Counseling to Reduce Academic Anxiety in Students at Al Huda Senior High School, Pekanbaru

This research was instigated with the high levels of academic anxiety experienced by students at school impacting their concentration, decision-making skills, and academic achievement. This research aimed at describing the levels of student academic anxiety before and after the implementation of Expressive Writing Therapy technique in group counseling and determining the effectiveness of Expressive Writing Therapy technique in group counseling to reduce student academic anxiety. Quantitative approach was used in this research with quasi experimental method with a research design, namely one group pretest posttest. Purposive sampling technique was used. The samples consisted of 5 eleventh-grade students at Senior High School of Al Huda Pekanbaru, who had high levels of academic anxiety. The instrument used was academic anxiety questionnaire with Likert scale. The research findings showed that student academic anxiety levels before the treatment were in high category, and they were in moderate and low categories after the implementation of Expressive Writing Therapy technique in group counseling. The research findings showed that Expressive Writing Therapy technique in group counseling was effective in reducing student academic anxiety at Senior High School of Al Huda Pekanbaru. Based on Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test result, the score of Z was -2.032b, and Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) was 0.042 lower than 5% (0.05) significant level. Therefore, Null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, and Alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted.

The digital evolution of the music industry requires that single covers have a strong visual appeal, becoming a major draw on streaming platforms. In a society focused on quick photo editing, the true essence of art is often overlooked. This project aims to revive traditional illustration methods using digital engraving styles for the cover of Rian Soebari’s single, “Pendenger Setia”. The project involved extensive research, starting with song analysis, followed by hand drawing and refining the lines and colors in Adobe Photoshop. The process uses hatching and cross-hatching to create natural dark-light impression contrasts (chiaroscuro), celebrating traditional artistry. The final results demonstrate that the interwoven shading lines successfully and accurately represent the metaphor of three singing birds above a bed of flowers. It is concluded that the application of digital engraving techniques using this qualitative-practice approach successfully maintains optimal readability on smartphone micro-screens while simultaneously transforming classical art values into a competitive digital commercial asset.

Socio-Economic Factors as Determinants of the Formation of Urban Slum Settlements: A Thematic Literature Review and its Implications for Settlement Planning in Central Kalimantan

Slums are a complex urban problem and cannot be separated from the underlying socio-economic problems. In Indonesia, the rate of urbanization, which is projected to reach 60 percent by 2025, has not been fully matched by the availability of decent housing for low-income communities, so that slum areas continue to grow in various cities, including Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan, which has a total slum area of 231.25 hectares. This study aims to identify and synthesize the socio-economic factors that are the main determinants of the formation of urban slums in Indonesia, as well as formulate their implications for settlement planning strategies in Palangka Raya City and Central Kalimantan. The method used is a thematic literature review (narrative/thematic review) of literature sources selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria from the Google Scholar, Garuda, and SINTA databases, covering the period 2015 to 2025. The results of the study identified five themes of socio-economic determinant factors, namely: (1) poverty and low income levels, (2) uncontrolled urbanization and migration flows, (3) low levels of education and limited access to formal employment, (4) uncertainty of land ownership status, and (5) inequality in access to basic services and infrastructure. These five factors work interrelatedly in a cyclical and self-reinforcing causality pattern. These findings imply the need for an approach to handling slum settlements in Palangka Raya City that integrates economic empowerment, land legalization, urbanization management, and collaborative financing in a comprehensive planning framework, going beyond a purely physical improvement approach.

North Sumatra Province boasts a diversity of religions, cultures, and religious sites that serve as tourist attractions, such as the Al-Mashun Grand Mosque in Medan, the Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni Shrine, the Gunung Timur Buddhist Temple, and various religious destinations in the Lake Toba area and its surroundings. In the digital era, the development of religious tourism relies not only on the construction of physical infrastructure but also on the utilization of digital technology in promotion, marketing, and tourism services. This article aims to analyze the potential of religious tourism in North Sumatra and its development strategies to support the tourism industry in the digital era. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach involving literature review and secondary data analysis. The results indicate that religious tourism in North Sumatra holds significant potential for development through the integration of digital technology, strengthened collaboration between the government and the community, improved infrastructure quality, and the development of social media-based promotions and digital platforms.

The Relationship Between Self-Esteem and Narcissistic Behavior of Tiktok Users Among Students of SMPN 43 Pekanbaru

The development of social media, especially TikTok, has had a significant impact on the lives of adolescents. TikTok is not only a means of entertainment and communication, but also a medium for gaining social recognition. This condition has the potential to give rise to narcissistic behavior, especially in adolescents with low self-esteem. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and narcissistic behavior of TikTok users in students of SMPN 43 Pekanbaru. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study sample consisted of 65 students who were active TikTok users selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments were a self-esteem questionnaire and a narcissistic behavior questionnaire, each consisting of 14 valid and reliable items. The reliability value of the self-esteem instrument was 0.842 and the narcissistic behavior instrument was 0.801. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results showed that students' self-esteem was in the high category with a percentage of 40.00%, while narcissistic behavior was in the medium category with a percentage of 38.46%. The correlation test results showed an r value of -0.504 with a significance level of 0.000, indicating a negative and significant relationship between self-esteem and narcissistic behavior. This finding indicates that the higher a student's self-esteem, the lower the tendency for narcissistic behavior in TikTok use. This study has important implications for guidance and counseling services in efforts to improve student self-esteem and prevent the development of narcissistic behavior on social media.

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Smart Fruit Bag teaching aid on the understanding of basic mathematics and science concepts in early childhood at the AR-Rohman Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD) in Aek Marian Village, Lembah Sorik Marapi District. This study used a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population and sample in this study were all 30 children in Group B of the AR-Rohman PAUD, using a total sampling technique. The research instrument was an observation sheet consisting of 10 indicators of understanding basic mathematics and science concepts. Data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, and simple linear regression tests using SPSS. The results of the simple linear regression test showed a significance value of 0.002 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect between the use of the Smart Fruit Bag teaching aid on the understanding of basic mathematics and science concepts in early childhood. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of the Smart Fruit Bag teaching aid is effective in improving the understanding of basic mathematics and science concepts in early childhood. This learning medium can help children understand the concepts of numbers, grouping, colors, shapes, sizes, and observation skills through concrete and enjoyable learning activities. Therefore, the Smart Fruit Bag teaching aid can be used as an alternative, innovative learning medium to improve the quality of learning in Early Childhood Education.

Early numeracy skills are one of the main pillars of early childhood cognitive development, but the reality at Mawar Merah PAUD, Pasar Maga Village shows that this ability is still not optimal due to reliance on conventional methods that are abstract and less interesting. This phenomenon requires an innovative solution in the form of the use of manipulative Educational Game Tools (APE), such as Cheerful Animal Dice, which can concretize the concept of numbers through fun play activities. This study aims to determine and empirically analyze the effect of the use of Cheerful Animal Dice APE on early childhood numeracy skills at Mawar Merah PAUD, Pasar Maga Village. This research approach uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The sample used was 28 children, who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data collection techniques were carried out through structured observations and performance tests, while the data analysis technique used was the Independent Samples T-Test statistical test. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significant difference in early numeracy skills between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group using the Cheerful Animal Dice achieved a significantly higher and statistically significant increase in average scores (gain score) (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that the Cheerful Animal Dice Educational Game Tool has a positive and significant effect on improving early numeracy skills in early childhood at Mawar Merah Preschool in Pasar Maga Village.

The Effectiveness of Rotating Earth Learning Media on Understanding the Concept of Day and Night at PAUD AL IHSAN, Bangun Purba Village

Understanding basic astronomical concepts, particularly the phenomenon of day and night, is often an abstract topic for early childhood students at the Al Ihsan Preschool (PAUD) in Bangun Purba Village. The lack of adequate visual media makes it difficult for children to distinguish between the Earth's rotation and its impact on changes in time. This study aims to test the effectiveness of using the "Rotating Earth" learning media in improving understanding of the concept of day and night in children in Group B. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Fifteen children participated in the study. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and oral tests, then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed a significant increase in children's understanding after using the "Rotating Earth" media. This media was able to concretely conceptualize the Earth's rotation, previously considered abstract, into a concrete visual experience. In conclusion, the "Rotating Earth" media is highly effective in stimulating children's cognitive abilities related to basic natural phenomena and can be applied as a standard learning medium for astronomy at the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) level.

Implementation of Small Big Media as a Learning Medium to Introduce the Concept of Size to Early Childhood at Mawar Merah Maga Lombang PAUD

Early childhood cognitive abilities in understanding early mathematical concepts, particularly the concept of size, are often hampered by abstract and less interactive learning methods. At Mawar Merah Maga Lombang Preschool, limited manipulative media is the primary reason for children's low understanding of the dimensions of large and small. This study aims to test the effectiveness of implementing Small Big media in improving understanding of the concept of size in early childhood. The research method used was quantitative with a Pre-Experimental design (One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design) on 28 students. The research instruments used were structured observation sheets and demonstration tests. The results showed a significant increase in average scores between before and after using Small Big media. Data analysis using a t-test demonstrated a significant value, empirically proving that this manipulative media is able to strengthen children's cognitive schemas in accurately distinguishing sizes. In conclusion, Small Big media is an effective educational tool for optimizing mathematical cognitive abilities in early childhood. Implementation of this media is recommended as a standard learning medium at the Early Childhood Education level to optimally facilitate children's visual-tactile learning styles.

Application of Place Value Board Media in Improving Students' Understanding of Grade III SDN 138 Sabajior on the Place Value Material of Integrated Numbers Up to 1000

Understanding the concept of place value is one of the basic skills that elementary school students must have in learning mathematics. However, in reality, there are still students who have difficulty in understanding the value of a number based on its position in the number. This article aims to describe the application of place value board media in improving the understanding of third-grade students of SDN 138 Sabajior on the material of place value of whole numbers up to 1000. This activity was motivated by the results of an interview with the third-grade teacher, Muhammad Aswan, S.Pd., which showed that some students still had difficulty in distinguishing the value of numbers based on their position, determining units, tens, hundreds, and thousands, and stating the value of a number in a number. The method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects of the activity consisted of 12 third-grade students who attended from a total of 18 students. The application of the media was carried out by introducing a place value board consisting of units, tens, hundreds, and thousands columns, then students were given the opportunity to arrange and place numbers according to their place value. The results of the activity showed that the use of place value board media was able to help students understand the concept of place value more concretely. Students find it easier to group numbers into appropriate columns, determine the value of a number based on its position, and decompose numbers into hundreds, tens, and ones. Furthermore, the use of media also increases student engagement, attention, and enthusiasm during the learning process. Therefore, place value boards can be used as an effective alternative learning tool to enhance students' understanding of the place value of whole numbers up to 1000 in elementary school.
